The new Touareg takes on any terrain: as an off-roader it effortlessly conquers steep inclines of up to 45 degrees or slopes half a metre under water. With the aid of air suspension and sensor-controlled dynamic damper adjustment, the chassis overcomes any pothole or rough surface with ease.

But powerful ones: hybrid drive system, BlueMotion Technology, the world’s first 8-speed automatic transmission. This is the pioneering technology of the new Touareg. It represents a fascinating combination of driving pleasure and responsibility.

A good assistance system does not merely react, it anticipates, too – and prepares itself for any eventuality. Whereas, for example, “Side Assist” helps you with lane-change manoeuvres, “Dynamic Light Assist”, the dynamic main beam control system, ensures optimum visibility: when the main beam is switched on, the lights of oncoming traffic and vehicles in front are detected by a camera and the illuminated area and headlight range are automatically adjusted and maximised.
