What began with the 3 l Lupo is continuing with the new “3l Polo”. This amazing fuel-sipper should make its debut at the start of 2010. Volkswagen is pulling out all the stops when it comes to efficiency with the Polo BlueMotion, which weighs just 1,080 kg. In attempting to achieve the utmost in efficiency, the model includes an aerodynamics package for the 10mm lowered chassis (including a modified front), an aerodynamically optimised underbody and low-resistance tyres on 15-inch alloy wheel rims. In total, these innovations give a fuel saving of 0.8 litres. CO2 emissions are reduced by about 20 percent.**
