Its predecessor in the Golf V already delivered impressively low fuel consumption figures of 4.5 l/100 km. Many of the fuel-saving measures have been integrated into the standard production models in the development of the new Golf. For example, all the engine options in the Golf VI have longer gear ratios, reduced idle speed and a gear shift recommendation in the multifunction display.
Now there is also the new Golf with BlueMotion Technology, which achieves even better CO2 and fuel consumption figures thanks to its entirely newly developed 1.6-litre TDI engine, delivering 77 kW (105 hp), and features additional improvements to the chassis, wheels and aerodynamics. This model is already available from as little as EUR 425 more than the comparable standard production model.
